The bedrooms are as characterful as the public rooms. Each of the 32 rooms has its own very distinct personality from the luxurious country house opulence of the Oval Room in the main house to the understated elegance of the Longleat Room.

The Rooms

Club Rooms

Situated on the top floor of the main house and in the courtyard, our club rooms are the smallest room offered at the hotel.

Standard Rooms

The majority of our standard rooms are situated on the first floor of the main house and in the courtyard. The main house rooms have high ceilings with views from different angles of the house.

Superior Rooms

The Wimbourne, Pembroke and Salisbury rooms are larger rooms situated in the garden wing of the main house with garden access. The remainder of the superior rooms are larger rooms located in the main house, overlooking the hotel grounds.

Deluxe Rooms

Dorchester Room

The Dorchester Suite is situated on the first floor of the courtyard. This deep terracotta suite has a spacious living room as well as a large bathroom featuring a whirlpool bath.

Wylye Room

The Wylye Room is a delightful four-poster room, situated in the garden wing of the house. The rooms have French windows leading to a patio overlooking the gardens and the outside swimming pool.

Longleat Suite

The spacious Longleat Room in the courtyard has its own sitting room featuring stunning oak beams and private courtyard garden. Noted for its understated elegance, it benefits from the same attention to quality and detail as can be found in the other bedrooms at Bishopstrow.

The Master Room

The Oval 'Master' Room

The Oval room, originally the master bedroom of the house is situated on the first floor of the main house. This opulent room has large bowed windows with a stunning view overlooking the hotel grounds at the entrance of the house.

The Weymouth Suite

The Weymouth Suite has a downstairs sitting room, that has a light, summery quality and a spacious bedroom and bathroom with roll top bath. There's even Ipod docking stations with speakers in the bedroom and bathroom, not forgetting a television in the bathroom.

The Shaftsbury Suite

The Shaftesbury Suite has a spacious downstairs sitting room with a large oak dining table and has a light, summery quality and a spacious bedroom and bathroom with roll top bath and double shower. There's even Ipod docking stations with speakers in the bedroom and bathroom, not forgetting a television in the bathroom.
